Advance your career as a Senior Software Engineer (Project Manager) with an industry-leading water and wastewater utility. There is an immediate vacancy in the Project Management Office, part of East Bay Municipal Utility District's (EBMUD's) Information Systems Department.
EBMUD is seeking motivated professionals with experience in IT project management, as well as quality assurance, including documentation, functional and technical testing.

In addition to sharing EBMUD's values of stewardship, integrity, respect, and teamwork in their commitment to public service, the most competitive candidates will possess substantial experience in:
Project management (PMP certification a plus)
All aspects of the software development cycle
Requirements gathering and documentation
Waterfall, Agile or other standard software development model
Software testing and QA practices
Implementing Enterprise software systems
SQL
Oracle Database or another RDBMS
Web design and architecture
Multiple programming languages, such as Ruby on Rails, C, C++, Java, ColdFusion, Visual Basic, etc.

The salary range is $11,081 per month increasing to $11,635, $12,217, $12,828, and $13,469 after 6, 18, 30, and 42 months, respectively.

Requirements:
1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (majors such as computer science, information systems, and information technology are preferred).
2. Three years of systems analysis and programming experience developing business applications for computer systems including one year at a level comparable to or higher than EBMUD's class of Software Engineer II.
3. Experience may require demonstrated use and expertise in specific programming languages or IT specialties relevant to the position vacancy.

Willingness to work overtime as needed. Working environment is indoors and may require sitting for prolonged periods of time and repetitive hand motions.

This is not a remote work only position and candidates must be prepared to work 5 days per week on-site at the District's Administration Building located in downtown Oakland, CA. A hybrid telecommute and on-site work arrangement is currently under consideration for possible future authorization.
