Annual Salary: $133,147 - $161,203

Central San's Regulatory and Compliance Division is seeking a Supervising Chemist. This position supervises, evaluates, and directs the daily activities within the environmental laboratory. The incumbent will oversee testing and sampling of wastewater, receiving water, recycled water, and solids from wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal and ensure that all activities meet applicable laws, regulations, and District policies.



Education:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in chemistry, biology, microbiology, or a related subject.

Experience:
Four (4) years of full-time experience in a comparable laboratory environment; including two (2) years of work involving water and wastewater testing and analysis.



Licenses and Certifications:


Possession of a valid California Driver's License. A valid out-of-state driver's license will be accepted during the application process. Must possess a valid California Driver's License within 90 days of appointment.


Possession of a Laboratory Analyst Grade III certificate issued by the California Water Environment Association.
