LABORATORY PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR

Annual Salary: $165,025 - $199,735

Central San, a progressive public utility, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Laboratory Program Administrator. Under the supervision of the Environmental and Regulatory Compliance Division Manager, this position will plan, organize, direct, and review the operation of the District's laboratory including the preparation and control of the laboratory budget and the administration of the District's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program; supervise and train laboratory and operations personnel in the technical aspects of wastewater analyses and treatment; plan, direct, and conduct research projects and technical reports; and review and report on regulatory issues.

Education and Experience:

Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in chemistry, biology, bacteriology, microbiology, or a related subject.

Five (5) years of full-time experience in a wastewater or laboratory performing general lab duties including advanced instrumentational analysis, including two (2) years in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Licenses and Certificates:

Possession of a valid California Driver's License. A valid out-of-state driver's license will be accepted during the application process. Must possess a valid California Driver's License within 90 days of appointment.

Possession of a Laboratory Analyst Grade IV certificate issued by the California Water Environment Association.
