Under general direction, the Information Systems Support Analyst II (ISSA) in the New Business Office Division provides operating support to the East Bay Municipal Utility District's (EBMUD) New Business Online Water Service Application system and advocates for the New Business Office for integration with current and future EBMUD software projects. The ISSA-II works on in-house and vendor software applications and is the liaison for the New Business Office and various Divisions throughout EBMUD that are instrumental to the water service application process. The ISSA-II will be on point to resolve complex issues, which will involve frequent and effective communication with a wide variety of people, technical expertise, and excellent troubleshooting skills.


Duties will include:
Administering the online water service application working with Information Systems Department (ISD) for continued support of a customer facing system.
Supporting the New Business Office by ensuring all stakeholders software programs are compatible with the processes and procedures of the water service application.
Representing the New Business Office in the development of in-house software including creating processes and training staff on how to perform duties required to ensure completion of successful water service applications. Develop detailed specifications and user stories, coordinate with other stakeholders, and ensure user acceptance testing and sign off.
Reviewing impact of proposed systems and functional modifications to existing business processes.
Acting as a liaison between system users and ISD staff to identify and document system modifications for functionality, data structure, screens, and reports to meet user needs.
Investigating and analyzing system issues.
Preparing test cases to thoroughly test enhancements and fixes working with ISD to support New Business Office utilized programs.
Developing and running queries on various systems to extract data and prepare reports. Working with various Divisions and stakeholders to ensure review of data and information accuracy.
Preparing user documentation of system operating procedures.


A flexible/hybrid work from home schedule may be available for some positions in this job classification.


The salary range is $9,799 per month increasing to $10,289, $10,803, $11,343 and $11,910 after 6, 18, 30, and 42 months, respectively.


*Please note the salary range listed previously may change due to an anticipated salary increase effective April 2023.

Requirements:
1. A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, information processing, computer science, or closely related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
2a. Two years of programming, systems analysis or other related technically based computer support experience for a business information system; OR
2b. Two years of experience maintaining and processing input and output data for an information system comparable to that where the position is assigned.
