Examples of Duties
Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculating annual sewer service charges
  • Maintaining current records for annual billing of sewer service charges
  • Field checking to verify tenant information and usage
  • Using a variety of spreadsheet and database programs
  • Reviewing and analyzing assessor maps for updates
  • Maintaining an accurate database of new and existing sewer system users
  • Collecting data to perform complex fee calculations
  • Advising customers of policies and procedures and explaining how sewer service charges are calculated
  • On a relief basis, providing customer service counter coverage, which includes processing simple repair permits

Qualifications
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with four years of related experience. Accounting experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in database and spreadsheet programs, especially MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Be skilled in report preparation, quickly learn to read project plans and parcel maps.
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills, both with the public and internal customers, and work effectively in a team-based organization.
  • Valid Class C California driver's license with a clean driving record.
