Central San, a progressive public utility, is seeking an Associate Engineer for the Reliability Engineering Section of the Plant Maintenance Division. Under general direction, this position will: perform responsible, professional engineering or operations work in the planning, design, investigation, and construction of District wastewater treatment plant, collection system, and related facilities; plan, organize, oversee, direct and assist with facility, plant, and equipment maintenance activities to optimize the water resource recovery facility and pump stations; perform project management responsibilities during engineering projects; perform line supervisory duties in the operation of an assigned District function; and perform related duties assigned.
Education:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major work in engineering or a closely related field.
Experience:
Five years of experience in professional engineering, preferably in District engineering projects.
Licenses and Certificates:
Possession of a valid Certificate of Registration as a professional engineer issued by the State of California.
The Associate Engineer assigned to the section in the Engineering Department that is responsible for review and preparation of right of way maps and descriptions must be either a civil engineer registered in the State of California prior to January 1, 1982, who is therefore authorized to practice land surveying, or a registered civil engineer and possess a Professional Land Surveyor's License issued by the State of California.
Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
