THE AGENCY
The Agency's administrative offices are located in Livermore, CA, the easternmost city of Alameda County, which is bordered by Contra Costa County to the north and San Joaquin County to the east. Zone 7 provides treated drinking water to the City of Pleasanton; the City of Livermore; California Water Service Company - Livermore; and Dublin San Ramon Services District.

THE POSITION
This position is responsible for ensuring water quality regulatory compliance during operations and maintenance activities. Areas of program responsibility include technical operations support, environmental compliance related to water quality issues, watershed management, water supply engineering, laboratory sampling and testing, and emergency planning and preparedness.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
Possession of a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in engineering or chemistry.
AND
Experience
The equivalent of five years of full time experience in water quality planning and evaluation or environmental engineering, at least two of which were in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
Certification:
Possession of at least one of the following is required: a valid California Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers, a T-5 Water Treatment Operator's certification and/or a Grade IV Water Quality Laboratory Analyst certification.
License:
Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
