Laborer (Temporary) - Biosolids Harvesting
The Dublin San Ramon Services District is seeking five (5) temporary, full-time laborers to perform a variety of duties related to its seasonal biosolids harvesting of the facultative sludge lagoon project.
This position will be full-time, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and may require occasional weekend work.
This seasonal work is typically performed during dry weather season, June through October, dependent upon weather and dryness of soil. This assignment is anticipated to begin June 1, 2026, and end no later than October 31, 2026. However, assignments may end at any time at the discretion of the District.
This recruitment is open until filled, however, a first review of applications will occur on Monday, April 27, 2026.

Essential Functions:
Selected candidates will receive training and thereafter be expected to operate equipment such as a solids dredge, injection tractor and 500 GPM diesel-powered centrifugal pump and a tractor with various implements including an injector, hose reel and disc.
Candidates must have mechanical aptitude; be able to work on and around water; be able to maneuver large (4" diameter) hoses working in a field using tractors and manual power and be able to work as part of a team.
Work is performed outdoors in all types of weather including high heat days.

Training and Experience:
Minimum Requirements
- Must possess a valid California Class C driver's license
- Must be able and willing to work in all types of weather, including high heat days and cold and rain
- May not be an active CalPERS member (However, CalPERS retirees are encouraged to apply)
